Note: this is before the Lost Hero and after the Throne of Fire. However, to understand this fully, you must have read the Lost Hero, or some characters will be unfamiliar with you.
Disclaimer: I do not own anything from the Kane Chronicles, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, or the Heroes of Olympus(I do, however, have a copy of almost all of the books). If I did own them, which means I would be Rick Riordan, it would be awesome. Sadly, I am not.

        PERCY

Percy had been having a relatively good day until his canoe exploded. He woke up with a slight tiredness, as if all his muscles were still asleep. He knew he shouldn't have stayed up late, but he thought he deserved some fun, especially since Thalia and Nico had come to visit. Still, he was tired. Nothing like the water to cheer me up, he thought. He started to walk towards the ocean, then quickly stopped, realizing that he had a number of critical things to do, like eating breakfast. Groggily, he went up to the pavilion, where a number of half-bloods were already gathered.
After inhaling some waffles, attacking the blueberries, and chugging his Cherry Coke(all blue, of course), he saw something unusual; the Ares cabin mingling with the other campers. Normally they were either killing straw dummies, threatning campers, or sticking people's heads down toilets. Then he noticed Chiron. Interested, he drew in closer to the crowd, noticing Annabeth in the proccess.
"What's all the commotion about?" he asked.
Annabeth whirled around, accidentally whipping a fellow child of Athena in the face with her hair. "There you are, Seaweed Brain! Where were you?" she said, hugging him. Percy noticed that her gray eyes were filled with anxiety. She drew him in closer to the center of the crowd, where Clarisse was glaring at a slab of rock, as if she was waiting for it to stand up or something.
She glanced at Percy. "Found a friend of equal intelligence for ya, Jackson," she said, gesturing to the rock. Some campers sniggered.
"Hello to you, too. What's the rock for?"
Annabeth broke in. "Rachel found the rock outside her house this morning, and she tried to read it, but it didn't make any sense, so she brought it here straightaway, hoping that we could decipher it. We've all tried, but we can't make anything out of it. It seems like an ancient language, but we just can't read it. Even Chiron's stumped." She shook her head. She hated anything that didn't make sense to her, which weren't common.
"Well, it hasn't met me yet," Percy walked up to the rock, and held it up. He squinted at it for about twenty seconds, then gave up. He started to put the flat piece of stone down.
Then all Hades broke loose.
Alarmed campers quickly backed away from the rock, which was floating in the air, glowing blue. Blazing pictures formed in the air, but this time, they seemed to be recognized by Annabeth and Chrion, who was so startled that he whinnied. Annabeth gasped.
"Those are hieroglyphs!" She exclaimed. "It was the language of ancient Egypt! Then that means...Holy Zeus, is that what's happening?"
"What?" Percy demanded. He was staring at the rock, now pulsing with energy. "What's happening?"
Chiron stared at the rock. When it stopped glowing, he picked it up gingerly, as if it would explode. He glanced at all the campers. Then he said, "All senior head counselors will meet in my office for an emergency meeting." He paused. "Now."
The rest of the campers, save for the head counselors and some others, dispersed, murmering about blue light and rocks. Percy, along with the others, went in to Chiron's office, where horrible classical music was playing. Thalia muttered something about Green Day and no taste for music, and Will Solace, counselor of the Apollo Cabin, wrinkled his nose and made gagging motions. Chiron, sensing the obvious discomfort, turned the music off with a hurt expression. The campers took their spots, and Chiron started the council.
"First off, does anyone understand what just happened?"
Annabeth spoke up. "Those were hieroglyphs, weren't they? The Egyptians used them. I've heard rumors about Egyptian magicians using them to perform magic, but..." She trailed off.
"Very good, Annabeth." Chiron looked at all of us. "There have been evidence of a secret Egyptian organization ever since Western Civilization started in America, and even before that, there were rumors about it. Now, more and more evidence started to pop up, and the Rosetta Stone..." Chiron looked at the slab. "As you well know, I am very old. I have picked up many languages, but I could not read it. Then when Percy picked it up, I could read it. The news is not a bad one, but..."
Clarisse cleared her throat. "Well, let's get it going, then. What's it say?"
"It contains a friendly challenge..."
The whole room was tense; friendly challenge to them could mean an all-out brawl, or worse.
"... to a game of capture the flag."
There was an uproar of outrage, excitement, and relief. Clarisse was standing up, yelling how she would clobber them to a pulp of bruises. Drew, who was applying eyeliner,  looked uninterested, and Clovis snorted in his sleep.
"Hold up!" Chiron yelled, stomping his hooves on the floor. They soon quieted down, and Chiron told them the specific details; They would come to the camp at five p.m., fully armed and ready for battle. The lead campers were expected to greet them there. "Until then," Chiron declared, "There will be battle preparations for all the cabins. This might be a trap, so I advise that everyone be on guard. Even if it isn't, well," Chiron's eyes twinkled. "I don't think it would hurt to show them what we half-bloods are made of, now, would it? Meeting adjourned!"
Cheering, everyone spilled out of the office, rushing to tell their cabins about the news. Soon, a hundred and fifty fully armed demigods were ready for a game of capture the flag. Percy frowned. Some cabins, like the Aphrodite and Hypnos, were missing. No surprises there. Percy went to his cabin. From there, he put on a wristwatch that his brother, Tyson, had made for him. It would come in handy, Percy knew. Checking the time, he ran to the canoe lake. His canoe was ready, and Annabeth was waiting for him inside it. Even in battle armor, he couldn't help but notice how cute she looked; her stormy eyes twinkling, her blonde hair tied up in a ponytail, and her dagger in her hand, ready to stab someone at a moment's notice.
"Hey, Seaweed Brain," Her smile was beautiful.
"What do you think about this?" Percy asked.
"Well...I don't think it's a trap; after all, they gave us a head's up about what's going to happen, didn't they?"
"Still, they could attack in a different position while we're focused on the canoe lake."
"Whatever, Seaweed Brain. Just get the canoe going."
Smiling, he willed the waters to move his boat to the middle of the lake. He kept going when he heard cries of alarm. The campers were looking up. Unfortunately, there was no time for Percy to look up, because just then, something huge blasted his canoe, throwing Percy and his girlfriend up fifty feet in the air.
This is my little fanfic of Percy Jackson and the Olympians and the Kane Chronicles crossover. I wanted to post it so i can get some critics to criticize my story. First chapter, hope it doesn't suck too much.
